AlgomaTrad Virtual Camp 2020 Open for Registration!

The 17th Annual AlgomaTrad Online Family  Camp is open for registration! Click on the image to go immediately to the registration page.

AlgomaTrad Family Camp 2020 is moving online with concerts, classes, electives, and events coming right to your home.  Camp will run Tuesday, August 11th through Friday, August 14th, with a Zoom orientation gathering on Monday, August 10th in the evening. REGISTER NOW or read on.

EACH MORNING will begin with a yoga session for early risers, then a daily Camp Gathering streaming live from the site including Wake-up Piping!, a dance, time to connect over coffee, and more!

A WIDE VARIETY OF CLASSES will be held during four periods each day, PLUS daily elective options will be offered.  Classes and electives will include: fiddle, tin whistle, guitar, cello, bass, clawhammer banjo, uilleann pipes, highland pipes, ukulele, singing, English concertina, Québécois and Ottawa Valley step dance, music production, calling contras and squares, growing your own food, fibre arts, community arts, plant-based cooking, pyrography (woodburning), blacksmithing demos, intro to birding, stitchin’ in the kitchen, and a daily children’s songs and stories period. EVENING offerings include nightly concerts, a variety night, euchre tournaments, and other community gatherings, with potential for who-knows-what unplanned events to happen!

Be sure not to miss out on our AUCTION during camp week!  Private lessons, commissioned tunes, original artwork, and more will be up for auction.  Online bidding will occur over the week of camp.  Stay tuned for more details.

AlgomaTrad 2020 is about gathering, connecting, playing, learning, and laughing along with the AlgomaTrad Community, and we hope you’ll join in the fun!

All camp activities, except concerts, will take place on Zoom. You can create a free Zoom account at Concerts will take place on YouTube and are open to the public – invite your friends to watch and enjoy some of the AlgomaTrad magic!  Concerts are free, although donations will be gratefully accepted.
