Denis in action!

Denis Frechette – Blacksmithing – An unstructured workshop that will focus on learning the basics of blacksmithing including forming techniques and forge work and progressing at your own speed depending on how much time you have to invest during the week. The workshop will accommodate those who want to drop-in off and on, as well as those who want to commit to progressing through more difficult projects for the entire week.

Miranda Bouchard

Miranda Bouchard – Natural Dyes and Fabric Arts – A two-part class, rooted in the theme of “Close to Home.” Through experimenting with natural dyes and exploring textile craft and embellishment, weʼll connect to what “home” means. Together, we’ll artfully share and evoke the places where we live, and explore how those places connect to our stories and our social fabric. Natural Dye use will be restricted to 13 and up, while the community art textile project is open to all ages.

Andre Lemieux

Andre Lemieux – Dry Stone Walling – Join Andre in building a dry fieldstone wall in a weeklong course that is a serious Hands-On learning experience! For 14 years and up.

Abe Zettek

Abe Zettek – Spoon Carving – Abe has been carving wood in some form since he was a young child, but only in recent years has he turned his attention to the sloyd – or greenwood working – tradition.  When he is not producing spoons, cups, shrink pots, and other wooden wares, he can be found dividing his time between a small maple syrup business, playing a variety of musical instruments, canoeing or snowshoeing the boreal wilderness, and interpreting early 19th century life at Fort St. Joseph National Historic Site. For 16 years and up.

Zach Lefebvfre

Zach Lefebvre – Woodburning – Pyrography is the art of decorating wood or other materials with burn marks resulting from the controlled application of a heated object such as a woodburing pen. Zach is a master of this art, decorating numerous of his handmade guitars with bespoke woodburning designs. For 12 years of age and up.
