AlgomaTrad has 2 dances coming up along the North Shore:
Friday, January 2 at the Johnson Township Community Centre Hall, Desbarats. (7:30 workshop for beginners, dance 8:00PM) The inimitable Dan Gorno calling as usual, with The O’Schraves supplying the music
once again. Adults: $10, Students: $7. Children under 10 are welcome at no cost.
A heads-up for some more fantastic dance fun in Chelmsford and Sudbury on the weekend of January 9-11, brought to you by Fiddleworks, the same folks who organize the Chelmsford Fiddle and Stepdance Contest. Jean-Francois Berthiaume, who rocked the AlgomaTrad Family Camp world this past August, is coming from Quebec to call several dances and hold workshops. The O’Schraves and local musicians, including Paul and Melika Lemelin, will be providing the music for the weekend. More details to come. Paul Lemelin, president of Fiddleworks, 2014 Canadian Grand Master Fiddle Champ, and no stranger to AlgomaTrad campers, has told us that they hope to have tickets for sale by December 5. We will let you you know more as soon as we know more!
Samantha Giguere, Serene Boileau, and Áine Schryer O’Gorman, all AlgomaTrad campers, will be performing an Evening of Christmas Classics and Favourite Songs during a supper show at the Moose Tracks Cafe, upstairs at the Tippy Canoe Gallery in Bruce Mines, on Saturday, December 13. Call 705 785 3248 for reservations.
