Kerry Fitzgerald is a member of the Fitzgerald family band “Everything Fitz” who hale from Bancroft, Ontario. The Fitzgerald’s, Julie, Patrick, Kerry and Tommy, are one of the foremost families in the Ontario Canadian Old-Time scene, featuring several champion fiddlers and stepdancers. Kerry plays fiddle, mandolin, and bodhran, and has been backing her sister and brothers for years on the piano. In addition, she is an accomplished step dancer. She earned the title of Ontario Open Stepdance Champion in 2012. In her spare time, she teaches both step dancing and fiddling in the London area. She has recently completed her studies in Kinesiology and Foods and Nutrition at the University of Western Ontario. Kerry has taught at the Leahy Music Camp and piano and stepdance at AlgomaTrad in 2013 and 2014. This is Kerry’s third year at AlgomaTrad and we are so happy that her wonderfully positive energy and great rapport with students will be with us again!
