The Sault Ste. Marie Festival Cabane à sucre , in partnership with Centre francophone de Sault-Sainte-Marie, is an all day event culminating in a dinner/concert/dance soirée at the Moose Hall.
- AlgomaTrad will present traditional fiddle music and “tire de neige” (maple taffy) from 10-11:30am at the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast at the Conservation Authority Sugar Shack, 1100 5th Line, Sault Ste. Marie. More info and cost for the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast HERE.
- 1-4:30pm – Traditional music, dance, and heritage arts presentations and workshops at the Moose Hall, 543 Trunk Rd, Sault Ste. Marie, including singing and fiddle jams and workshops, family square dance, wood carving, spinning, community arts and more. Click HERE for more information, workshop registration, and schedule.
- 6-11pm – A French-Canadian, maple syrup-themed gourmet dinner at the Moose Hall by Chef Jazmin Hackett (Beaumonde, Watershed Collective) followed by a a concert by RéVeillons! and a Québecois square dance with members of RéVeillons! and Canadian Open Champion fiddler Paul Lemelin.
