From her studio on St. Joseph Island, Mireille has been exploring the many facets of textile and fibre processing for the last four decades.
Through the practice of hand spinning, hand weaving, hand dyeing, hand felting and some needle crafts, Mireille finds inspiration by learning and following the thread connecting us to the deep richness of the textile making tradition around the world.
Mireille creates unique textiles from readily available discarded materials (recycle, repurpose, reuse) while combining a mix of textile processes. Click here to learn more about Mireille!
This workshop is part of the AlgomaTrad 50+ Community Program, supported by a grant from the Government of Ontario.
