I believe that art is an essential part of life, and that making it enriches both the artist’s life, and the lives of those around them. I love to teach people that they can do art. I love that moment when they light up and realize that, yes, art is for them, too. I’ve been making books for twenty-five years, and I never get tired of either doing it or teaching it.”
