Teilhard Frost and Chris Coole- Thursday, July 13, 7:30pm

This concert brings together two amazing Canadian multi-instrumentalists and singer-songwriters, who both are masters of the clawhammer banjo as well. Teilhard Frost is a folk musician specializing in ‘traditional’ fiddle tunes and song. He has a keen interest in the music of Appalachia and the roots/routes by which it came. As one third of acclaimed high stepping trio Sheesham, Lotus and ‘Son, Teilhard has toured the world, with the music as their ambassador. Toronto-based singer-songwriter Chris Coole is known as one of the bright lights of his generation on the clawhammer banjo. He’s played on over two hundred recordings, worked as a sideman/producer with Canadian song-writing master David Francey, and, is a member of the sensational neo-traditional trio The Lonesome Ace Stringband. His self-penned material has previously been featured on three solo albums – Old Dog (2010), The Tumbling River (2016), and The Old Man and the C Chord (2022) and has been covered by artists such as The Grascals, Eli West, and Jenny Whiteley.
