AlgomaTrad Grows: Fundraising Campaign for the AlgomaTrad Centre Opens Saturday, December 5
single post
AlgomaTrad is preparing for an exciting and critical next step in its journey to build the AlgomaTrad Centre, an environmentally-sustainable, year-round home for the learning, sharing and celebration of traditional music, dance, and heritage arts.
In order to leverage grants for over $2.5 million for this infrastructure project, AlgomaTrad must raise $300,000. To accomplish this, AlgomaTrad is planning a crowdfunding campaign to be launched on Saturday, December 5th on Fundrazr.

How You Can Help
The AlgomaTrad community has always been extraordinary, and within that amazing community there are many who are deeply committed to the vision. We hope you can join our community in realizing this vision.
Every $1,000 raised in this fundraiser can leverage about $9,000 in contingent grant money. This is an extraordinary opportunity.
As we prepare to launch the AlgomaTrad Grows campaign, we are looking for people to help in any–or all–of the following ways:
- CHAMPIONS who will organize a collective of people whose combined donations total a self-determined target amount.
- PROMOTERS who will share the news of the campaign through their own communities and social media;
- DONORS who will donate to the campaign;
These three groups of people (and some will be all three or some combination) will be essential to the success of this endeavour, and we would love you to be part of our journey by becoming a Champion, Promoter or Donor. Let us know where you fit in any of these groups, and we can provide further information as needed.
AlgomaTrad has acquired the property, created a business plan, and begun to improve the land and buildings. With your support and the will and determination of our community connected through music, art, craft, dance, and land we look forward to the realization of the beautiful, warm, and welcoming AlgomaTrad Centre.
