AlgomaTrad is hosting a new community event on Friday, November 13th, 6:30 pm with the first annual “Share a Little Light” Lantern Walk at the AlgomaTrad Centre (registration required, see below).

Due to Covid restrictions and public health guidelines, we will limit registration to 50 people. Social distancing and mask guidelines will be followed. There is no cost for this event.  We encourage you to register early to avoid disappointment.

Once you are registered,  we will send you more information including links to various lantern designs that might be helpful as you create your own personal lantern in your own homes. The registration form will also ask you if you need lantern-making materials and/or plans and we will make sure we get them to you – either at a pick up point or at your place of residence. There are so many ways to make lanterns, so it will be exciting to see the array of them on the 13th.  The sky’s the limit, and so is Pinterest for ideas!

We’ll finish up with hot drinks in the outdoor Pavilion, so please bring your own mugs, masks, lanterns, flashlights, and warm clothing.  We will also be limiting washroom use, so please go before leaving home!
