Sarah will be presenting a “A Weaver’s Life” on Tuesday, March 03, at 10:30am from her studio. She will talk about her life in weaving, offer some demonstration of her art, and answer any questions. A follow-up session will follow on Tuesday, March 10, 10:30am where she will be joined by weavers Monica Murphy and Russ Mason to talk about a variety of topics about weaving and their perspectives on life as a weaver. Sarah Buckley designs and weaves functional household textiles and personal accessories using natural fibres.  She has been weaving for over three decades and has attended workshops in Canada, the USA and England. An active member of the Algoma Weavers’ Guild, she is also a member of the Ontario Handweavers and Spinners having served on the Provincial Board for eight years.  Sarah has taught workshops for local, guild members and has demonstrated and instructed during the Sylvan Circle Art and Artisan Tour. Sarah was a featured instructor at the 2019 AlgomaTrad Fall Heritage Arts Festival.
