Reenie Perkovic

Reenie Perkovic is a Toronto-based singer-songwriter who writes and arranges honest, introspective songs with a soulful edge. Drawing from a diverse set of influences, her music often manifests in sweeping textures and colours within a rhythm section, brass, and strings. Reenie has toured all over Canada with her original project, as well as her folk-pop duo, Citizen Jane. She was a semi-finalist in the 2016 UK Songwriting Contest, and has released 3 solo albums. She studied percussion and composition at UVic, where she wrote contemporary classical works that were read by ensembles like the Victoria Symphony and ECM+. Reenie came to AlgomaTrad 2016 as a volunteer staff member with her partner and bandmate Lea Kirstein and was such a lovely and dynamic addition we invited her back as full-time staff last year and now this year!
