AlgomaTrad House Concert with “MIL” – Claude, Dana, Denise and DAN! And Don’t Forget Your David Francey Tickets!

Hey, folks, there’s gonna be some great music in Gordon Lake, right around the corner from the O’Schrave’s farm, on Sunday, October 6^th. We are holding a “house” concert in the Gordon Lake Hall with our good friends and great musicians Claude Méthé, Dana Whittle, Denise Levac (all members of Dentdelion) and Dan Gorno in their new group “MIL”. En route through our area from playing some dates in the USA, this is a wonderfully spontaneous opportunity to recapture some of that AlgomaTrad Family Camp spirit and catch this new musical branch that has sprouted from the Dendelion musical family experience. The concert will be an acoustic pleasure in a small country hall, admission by suggested donation. We’ll even have a potluck afterwards (we can’t do anything without good food) and maybe an informal DANce as well.

MIL plays music that IS the living tradition of Québec – old songs and tunes mixed with their own deeply-rooted compositions. You all know all the musicians from appearing at AlgomaTrad, but MIL has already performed at the Foire Européene in Strasbourg (France), Asturias and Llanes al Cubo (Spain), New World Festival (US) and as opening act for France d’Amour at the 2012 Fête Nationale (Joliette, QC), not to mention countless performances with Dentdelion and their other respective groups at major festivals and roots venues across Canada, the US and in Europe (France, Denmark, UK…). A first album is in the works for release in late 2013.

We are so excited about this concert by one of Canada’s greatest songwriters with a stellar group of musicians…this is a show not to be missed, and there are only 100 seats, so you better get your tickets ASAP. David put on a stunning performance last summer at the Richards Landing Fairgrounds new stage.
