AlgomaTrad After School Arts & Music Program, May/June 2018

AlgomaTrad, with the support of the Healthy Kids Community Challenge North Channel and the Township of St. Joseph, is hosting a 5-week After School Arts & Music session for children ages 6 – 12, which will occur Mondays 3:30 to 5:30pm, starting May 14, then May 28, June 4, 11, and 18 (no session holiday Monday, May 21).  Three workshops will be offered:  Woodworking Projects and learning how to use hand tools for ages 9-12 with Rodney Martin; Choir for children of all ages with Aaron Fisher; Learn Music Basics on the Tin Whistle for ages 6-8 and Learn Music Basics on the Tin Whistle for ages 9-12, with Pat O’Gorman. Music workshops occur at the St. Joseph Island Public School. Woodworking occurs at the Tranter Memorial Park Rink Building. Parents are welcome to come as volunteer helpers. There is a nominal fee of $15 for each registrant to cover material costs. Please register by calling 705-257-6106 or by email: music@algomatrad.ca.
