New Contra Dance starts up in Toronto

Julia Bennett, long-time AlgomaTrad supporter, has sent us a notice about a new contradance starting up in the West End of Toronto:

“For anyone in Toronto on the second Thursday of the month, I’m working with a fine local school charity on a monthly square/contra dance, with guest callers and hopefully musicians the likes of Eli Howard will be playing!  We hope it will be a place for local musicians and we’re working in new callers once we get going! The dances will occur at 156 Roncesvalles, St. Casimir’s Church Hall, 8-10pm .”

We will be posting some stories and photos from AlgomaTrad 2014 Camp soon, and letting you know about some upcoming concerts by the Brian Pickell Band, a tour in the USA by The O’Schraves, and more!
