How’s the polar vortex treating you all! Well, AlgomaTrad and The O’Schraves are entering a month long musical vortex and you are invited to swirl along!

Saturday, February 8 – AlgomaTrad at Bon Soo. Second Annual Family Contra/Square Dance, 1pm-3pm, Bushplane Museum, Sault Ste. Marie, ON. Admission at the door: Adults $10 – Youth $5 – under 5 free. No experience necessary, featuring music by your local rockin’ trad dance band, The O’Schraves, and Caller Extraordinaire Dancin’ Dan Gorno! We had a mighty great time last year at this amazing venue surrounded by cool planes. C’mon out, Mr. Bon Soo himself was a dancin’ fool at this event last year as you can see…here he is with his partner Áine and hey, there’s a couple more AlgomaTradders in the background, Vanessa and Kathleen!. symph posterSaturday, February 15 – Celtic Classics w/ The O’Schraves and The Sault Symphony OrchestraCentral United Church, 8PM. WOW! Now this is going to be cool – Lots of fun music being planned for this including a Pierre Schryer orchestral arrangement, and an Andre Gagnon concerto composed for the great Canadian fiddler Jean Carignan and originally performed by Carignan and Yehudi Menuhin for Menuhin’s Music of Man television series. Tickets $36, $15 for students and Youth. Tickets for Celtic Classics can be picked up at the Sault Symphony Office at 121 Brock Street, the Community Theatre Box Office in the Station Mall, or by visiting here.

Friday, February 7 – J.P. Cormier – 12 East Coast Music Awards, Juno nominee – In Concert, Friday, February 7, 8pm, doors open at 7:30pm. Richards Landing Old Town Hall.
